I Want Jesus In My Life
Friend, it is no coincidence you have arrived on this page. God is gentle, patient, and He cares about every detail of our lives because He Himself is life and it’s His greatest desire to give it to us.
Some of you believe in Jesus and that He is God’s son, Savior of the world – and that’s exactly right. Some of you have never heard the good news before. But no matter where you’ve come from or where you are, we all need to give our life to Him and have a personal relationship with Him. That means giving over our own will, talking to the Father, seeking Him and allowing Him to change our lives.
It’s not by works or deeds, no one can earn their way into Heaven. Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth & the Life and no man comes to the Father except by Me.” (John 14:6) So being a good person also does not get us into Heaven. The Father’s standard is perfection and there was only ever 1 perfect. The Bible says, “All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God,” (Romans 3:23) and “all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way.” (Isaiah 53:6)
“God so loved the world that He gave His one and only begotten Son that whoever would believe on Him would have eternal life. For God did not send His son to condemn the world, but to save it through Him.”
“To all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God”.
Salvation is a changed lifestyle, not just a profession of the mouth. A conviction to live for our Dad and accept His way back home. This world is not home, but we have gotten comfortable here. We were put here (starting in the Garden of Eden) because the Father desired children whom He could love and share His goodness with, and have relationship with. Which is the same reason we desire children. So He created us in His likeness and image. In order to have a deep, intimate relationship with anyone, there has to be free will. How loving can the relationship be if it’s forced? Earth is the only place God could place us where we would have a free will and choose to love Him because Satan is here. There are 2 choices here. God never intended us to know sin and evil. God created Adam & Eve pure. We were like Him. And He gave us the answer and told us exactly what would happen if we chose not to listen to Him.
From the beginning, Jesus was always plan A for restoration. You can see it in Genesis when God said, “Let US make man in OUR image and likeness.” Those Hebrew words are plural. It does not say, “God said I will make man in MY image and likeness.” No, Jesus and the Holy Spirit were always with the Father from the very beginning. God’s plan of restoration and reconciliation was always Jesus. So even though God knew man would choose sin, He always had a way to fix it. And just as parents take the hit when their children do wrong, God took the hit for us.
The paragraph below is an example of making Jesus Lord of our life and ensuring we’ll be with Him in Heaven when this world is destroyed and comes to an end.
We are called to follow Him because He is the only way out. The Creator is pursuing you. Open your heart and say yes. Tell Him you know you have sinned and that He sent Jesus to die for your forgiveness. Ask Him to save you and come into your heart and become Lord of your life. Ask Him to take your life and show you how to live for Him. If you believe in your heart that Jesus died for our sins and the Father raised Him to life and you confess it aloud that Jesus is Lord, the Bible says you’re born again.
The next steps are to begin reading the word. Start learning who God really is and what He wants for you. Get plugged into a Bible based church near you to grow in your faith and surround yourself with other believers to strengthen you.
